"The RAADS-R (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised) is a self-report questionnaire designed to assist in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in adults. It was developed by Ritvo and colleagues and was first published in 2011. The test is a modified version of the original RAADS, which initially had 78 questions and was expanded to 80 questions in the RAADS-R to include a section on personal interests, in addition to the existing sections on language, social relationships, and sensory-motor function.

The RAADS-R is intended to be used as a screening tool to help identify adults who may have ASD, particularly those with higher functioning forms such as Asperger Syndrome. It is not intended to provide a definitive diagnosis but rather to support the diagnostic process by identifying individuals who may benefit from a more comprehensive evaluation.

The test consists of 80 questions that cover various aspects of ASD, including social relatedness, circumscribed interests, language, and sensory-motor symptoms. Respondents are asked to rate the degree to which each statement applies to them, using a scale that typically ranges from ""True now and when I was young"" to ""Never true."" A threshold score is used to determine the likelihood of ASD being present.

The RAADS-R has been shown to have good sensitivity and specificity in previous studies, meaning it can effectively identify individuals with ASD while also having a low rate of false positives. However, it's important to note that the test should be used in conjunction with other diagnostic tools and a clinical evaluation by a qualified professional, as no single test can provide a conclusive diagnosis of ASD.
